Tree Planting

We have teamed up with the amazing charity TreeSisters and have pledged to plant a tree for every sale at The Mum Collective.

It's something we're incredibly passionate about as a brand - our aim is to strive to be as sustainable and as ethical as possible and build a brand and business for good, not just profit.

Why TreeSisters?

We decided to partner with them because we loved their mission;

"To rapidly accelerate tropical reforestation by inspiring and channelling women's Nature-based feminine leadership into local and global action."

Their focus is on restoration at the grass roots level with a focus on women and tropical reforestation.

Why tree planting?

The sad reality is is that it has become normal to destroy our world.

Currently, trees around the world are being removed and damaged at an extraordinary rate. If we continue to live in this way then soon our forests will be gone and the ramifications of this are unthinkable. Trees and forest ecosystems provide so much.

How will buying from The Mum Collective help?

For every sale we fund the planting of trees with TreeSisters to restore ecosystems and livelihoods, while increasing protection against the extremes of climate change in multiple regions of the tropical forest belt.

TreeSisters do this in ways that recreate and restore natural forest ecosystems using indigenous species, fostering local knowledge and skills, and promoting women's participation.

They strive to do it intelligently, appropriately, respectfully and successfully.

Where do they plant them?

TreeSisters are growing forest corridors to protect endangered species in Brazil, restoring mangrove and dry deciduous forests in Madagascar, replenishing the watershed of Mt Kenya, rescuing agricultural lands and restoring cloud forests in India, reforesting cleared and burnt lands in Nepal, and restoring highlands forest to protect critically endangered gorillas in Cameroon.
